Industry: Medical DevicesPosition: QC Analyst ILocation: Vacaville, CA (On-site)Duration: 06 months contract (+Possibility of extension)SummaryWith direct supervision, QC Senior Analyst, is responsible for the performance of direct materials testing in accordance with cGMP regulations and standards. These duties include execution of laboratory support activities. In conjunction with Quality Control leadership, the QC Senior Analyst works to meet departmental and organizational goals.Job ResponsibilitiesReview data and assess against established acceptance criteriaIdentify discrepancies. Provide input to design of quality investigations and CAPA (corrective actions preventive actions)Identify and troubleshoot problems.Identify gaps in systems and proceduresReceive and provide trainingPerform equipment maintenancePrepare and maintain standards, controls, stocks, cultures, etc. per established proceduresSupport the maintenance and compliance of operational areas.Assure and apply GMP throughout operationsCoordinate with customers to support multi-site operational activitiesSupport internal and external audits and regulatory inspectionsWorks to meet schedules, timelines, deadlinesParticipate in group and project teamwork; project and process improvementsMeets scheduled performance of 95% on time.Lab sweeps:restocking consumables, reagent expiry sweeps, glassware restocking, equipment PMsReviewer lab sweeps:Sample disposal, Contorl Print document reconciliationReference Standard managementControl printing for testing analystsCornerstone admin (requests to VOLT that Mel is covering)Vendor Evaluation (VE) Testing LIMS loginBulk gas testing: Drager tube/Color/AppearanceTest result entry in LIMSPrimary contact with our Reagent Ordering SPOC (stocking new reagent, expiry date verification, etc.)Chemical reagent system disposals, movements, etc.Perform other duties as requested by managers to support Quality activities.Job RequirementsB.S. /B.A. degree and one year experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Solid verbal and written skillsRoutinely exercises sound judgment, reasoning and problem solving.Capable of working under direct supervision and determining own short term priorities.Work Environment/Physical Demands/Safety Considerations Physical requirements - Prolonged periods of standing at lab bench top. Frequent lifting (up to 10lbs), bending, reaching, twisting. Use of step ladders and push carts required. Position may involve use of reagents and other chemical compounds, including but not limited toacetonitrile, chlorine, acids and bases, biologic toxins, microorganisms and potent compounds.
