R&R Horn, Inc. is a well-established general engineering contractor specializing in earthwork, demolition, grading, paving, underground utilities, concrete and landscape work, within both the public and private sectors. The company is located in Chico, CA. -SUMMARYR&R Horn, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Billing/Contracts Administrator to prepare invoices, generate accounting reports, and maintain contract folders. This is a full-time position reporting to the Controller and Project Management team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, business office environment with an understanding of job cost, markup, and billing processes and reporting.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrepares customer invoices quickly, accurately, and with little to no direct supervision requiredCommunicates directly with the Controller and Project Managers regarding invoicing requirementsPrepare client invoices using custom Sage 300 Construction and Real Estates accounting system, ensuring accuracy and timelinessAssist financial management team and project managers with job cost auditing and billing reportsPrepare and maintain contract documents: RFIs, submittals, change orders, work orders and other construction related documents.Prepare subcontractor progress billings for the Project Management team.Assist in contract closing activities as required.Ability to prioritize tasks without the need of direction from supervisorComply with customer specifications regarding invoicing, ensure billing deadlines are metOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS -To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Excellent written and oral communication skillsAccounting background requiredExceptional organization and time management skillsProven ability to meet deadlines while performing tasks accurately.Attention to detail and being flexible to handle multiple tasks independentlySelf-motivated with a strong sense of ownership in areas of responsibilityProficient in Microsoft Office, Procore experience a plusEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: At least five years' invoicing experience, preferred in project billing. AA degree or equivalent in work experience. Prior experience in the construction or engineering industry is preferred.This is a full-time position, hourly position.
