Title: Assistant Photographer Department: Marketing - Media Reports to: Media Manager Location: 402 Otterson Drive Suite 100 Chico, CA 95928 Employment Type: Full-time Start Date: Jan 7th, 2019 What is the opportunity for you?: Build.com's in house Media department is hiring an Assistant Photographer. As our next Assistant Photographer, you will take the lead on Media's logistics and coordination for all merchandise used in our sets. From delivery of product; inventory of existing products; coordination of moving products from main warehouse to media studio and then post-production coordination of products. Also photographing products on white background, post production color, and image retouching. You will need to have the ability to lift 50 lbs - physically moving toilets, chandeliers, sinks are just a few products that come to mind. As the Assistant Photographer, you will be assisting the main photographer on photoshoots. This opportunity allows you to work with some of eComm's best and brightest photographers/videographers and learn from them A go-getter, hungry, and adaptable photographer will thrive in this role. What you're going to do: Maintaining the coordination, organization and execution of products for all set designs Assisting photographer on all shoots Track and go-to person for media's inventory Provide products to contractors to install on the correct set designs Manages timelines, milestones, and internal details on project work to ensure timely delivery and high-quality project work Move products from Main Warehouse to Media Studio File and upkeep of photos file system Be the "encyclopedia" for the media team - you know that we have 2 Delta faucets, one in Brushed Chrome and one in Bronze Photography of products on white backgrounds Post production work - retouching photos to remove fingerprints, dust, etc on metals and background replacements Collaborate with internal teams (Creative, Interior Designer, Copy, etc) What you're going to bring to the table: Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or Visual Arts, or equivalent experience working in a multi-media role A brilliant portfolio showcasing your best work Must be proficient in Photoshop, CaptureOne and Excel Ability to lift 50 lbs A strong work ethic, ability to take initiative, great attitude, and are a self starter Excellent customer service skills - continuous work with people and flexing to their different styles is crucial in this role Organized to a tee - you love to-do lists, flow charts, folders inside of folders G-Suite experience - the company lives and breathes out of Docs, Sheets, etc. Sense of humor A love and passion for media What do we bring to the table: Competitive Compensation Packages Great 401(k), PTO and benefits package which includes Medical, Dental, Life and Vision Amazing work environment that makes you want to be at work every day Team building and company wide events throughout the year (sometimes too many to count) Incredible employee discounts on Build.com products Internal Training programs suited to what you are wanting to develop in A wide variety of local discounts plus all of Ferguson Inc. employee perks Pre-employment drug and background screening required Build.com is an equal opportunity employer as well as a government contractor that shall abide by the requirements of 41 CFR 60-300.5(a), which prohibits discrimination against qualified protected Veterans and the requirements of 41 CFR 60-741.5(A), which prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals on the basis of disability.
