Industrial Cannery Mechanic. The position is based in a fast-pace,
high volume production facility in Oroville, CA.

enjoy. Our Oroville facility maintains production lines for
packaging peach, pear, fruit cocktail and other products for
customer delivery and satisfaction. Each PCP facility utilizes
complex technology and equipment that require skilled, talented,
and motivated personnel to function properly.
These positions are part of a seniority based collective bargaining
unit and require work on various shifts with potential for a great
deal of overtime during the processing season.
This position works with a seasoned Maintenance Department and will
have full responsibility under Superintendent, or Supervisor, for
the efficiency, operation, maintenance, repair and safety of all
seamers and/or cookers. To be considered for this position,
applicants must have ability to: Build, install, maintain and
overhaul food production equipment and may be assigned to a
particular maintenance department at the facility, with
responsibility for the efficient and safe operation and repair of
related industrial equipment; including the ability to diagnose and
troubleshoot problems.To be considered for this position,
applicants must have ability to:
- Read sketches, prints, operating instructions and proceed
accordingly to construct, install, repair and maintain all
- Check materials and parts; make appropriate requisitions.
- Weld, including Heliarc and stainless steel.
- In off-season, dismantle and overhaul equipment.
- Lubricate, clean and paint equipment as needed.
- Keep operating and maintenance records on all equipment.
- Start, stop, test, time, adjust, operate and maintain
machinery, including water refrigeration and compressed air
- Prepare processing and related equipment for operation as to
testing, maintenance and sterilization.
- Observe and check instruments, record readings and make
adjustments to maintain required operating parameters.
- Supervise changes of materials, products and codes.Join our
