The Driverge Production Engineer is responsible for supporting
new product development innovation initiatives from design to
manufacturing including support of cost savings initiatives. They
are also responsible for developing new and improved manufacturing
processes, drawings, and supporting documentation. They are also
involved in facility & equipment planning and layout.
Essential Job Functions and Duties: Hands-on experience from
analysis, development, and documentation of new and innovative
processes and procedures. Work with sales, customers, operations,
engineering, and plant team members on implementation of design
procedures and processes for new projects. Implement new product
development and design initiatives in line with company goals.
Support department with a smooth transition of products to
production. Assist teams in carrying out implementation of the
procedures designed. Able to implement a project from design to
manufacturing. Experience with various materials including Steel,
aluminum, and plastics. Write reports to document all process
changes. Clearly communicate ideas and findings to management and
colleagues. Effectively communicate updates to team, both written
and direct training. Investigate and troubleshoot any problems that
arise with process & procedures and work with team to resolve in
the manufacturing plant. Manage cost and time constraints. Provide
process documentation and operating instructions. Demonstrate
strong organizational skills and an ability to deal with complex
and conditional situations. Comply with Driverge' s Core Values

Qualifications and Entrance Requirements: Bachelor of Science,
Mechanical Engineering. 5 years of proven work experience in a
manufacturing environment. 3+ years of CAD Preferably Inventor /
SolidWorks experience. Automotive experience a plus. Excellent
technical skills. Knowledge of process related standards.
Proficient in lean manufacturing, 5S and root cause analysis.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software Analytical thinker with
interpersonal skills. Solid verbal, written and interpersonal
communication skills are required. Demonstrated ability to work
with teams. Candidates must successfully complete criminal and
motor vehicle background check and pre-employment drug screening.
