Summary:

The Data Operations Manager is responsible for the overall performance and KPI's of the Production Data Team and day to day activities. This includes ways to improve data processes, training program, and continued growth and development of the department. The Manager monitors, sets goals and plans for the future of the department. Additionally, the manager will understand both eCommerce specific and enterprise data needs and work to align processes to eliminate redundancies and drive efficiencies across the enterprise.

The Manager should be passionate about the company, the data we collect, and how customers (internal and external) interact with product data. They will be working closely with Merchandising and Standards team to ensure all efforts are in line with company goals. Additionally, the manager will work cross-functionally to build out an enterprise level data team and implement an enterprise PIM (Product Information Management system). This role reports into the Director of Enterprise Product Data and will be instrumental in defining data process and structure that meet enterprise-wide needs as well as enable channel specific initiatives.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-directed and highly motivated individual with experience working with product data, workflows, and data systems.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Evaluate and drive data management processes (i.e., define best practices and processes to support efficiencies at both channel and enterprise level).
• Manage the collection and ingestion of product information to create a complete and robust product file.
• Maintain and audit data team's KPI's.
• Work cross-functionally to understand the needs of the business, user habits, and to support ongoing eCommerce and data initiatives.
• Support Data Supervisor's to increase productivity.
• Work with Leadership to create and maintain cohesive training programs and quick reference guides.
• Handle manager core role responsibilities, such as staffing (interviews), reviews, timesheet, vacation approvals, PIP's , and regularly scheduled one-on-ones and team meetings.
• Develop & maintain reporting processes required by enterprise stakeholders.
• Work cross-functionally to establish the processes for governing product information.
• Provide thought leadership and direction to data team.
  
  Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Management, Information Technology, Analytics or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in managing people.
  • Minimum 2 years of related data quality or data governance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Understanding of data governance.
  • Exposure to Master data management is a preferred
  • Experience working with or managing data stewards preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills required. Experience working with and analyzing large data sets, preferred.
  • Ability to develop and communicate processes and procedures to teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem solving capabilities. Ability to function effectively in a complex, rapidly changing environment.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to communicate with customers, vendors and team members. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience with or exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) and Product Information Management would be preferred.
