*Job/Department Summary:*
Under the general direction of the Vice President of Information
Technology/CIO, the Director of Division Budget and Operations
manages the centralized IT divisional processes for budget and
finance, human resources processes, procurement processes, and
administrative support. In compliance with all applicable
university/CSU policies and procedures, the Director manages these
processes on behalf of and/or in partnership with all the major
units in the IT division, which include: The Office of the
VPIT/CIO, Computing & Communications Services, Creative Media &
Technology, Enterprise Applications, Information Security, IT
Support Services, and Institutional Research. The Director directly
leads/manages a team of approximately 6 professional staff and 2-3
student employees.
In partnership with the division leadership team creates strategies
and business processes using modern industry standards and forward
looking frameworks that are appropriate for technology
organizations. The Director will seek out, learn, and use these
standards/frameworks to contribute to the creation of the strategic
vision, road map, and direction for divisional business processes
related to budget and finance, procurement, human resources, and
administrative support. The Director will also oversee the
day-to-day operations/management of those processes.
*Mandatory Vaccinations:*
The CSU requires faculty, staff, and students who are accessing

*Preferences:*
Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they
may be considered specialized skills:
* Bilingual
* Degree in Accounting or Finance
* Experience supervising accountants and/or budget analysts.
* Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
(GAAP)
* Experience in an IT organization
* Experience creating/managing professional development and
training programs
*Required Education and Experience:*
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in
Business Administration, Management, Accounting, or related
field
*AND*
Five (5) years of experience performing budget management and
reporting and Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
*Time Base: *Full-time*

*Pay Plan: *12/12
*Work Schedule: *Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer - Mon-Thurs
7:00-5:30.
*Salary and Benefits Information: *
Salary commensurate with background and experience of the
individual selected. (Anticipated hiring range: $75,000 - $90,000
per year).
This position qualifies for benefits including tuition fee waiver
(if eligible).

Political Practices Commission. (Group/Category: Information
Resources - Assistant/Associate Vice President/Provost or Director
(all levels), CAT-01, CAT-02)
The person holding this position is considered a "Limited Mandated
Reporter" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting
Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in
CSU Executive Order 1083 (revised July 21, 2017) as a condition of
employment.
This position is a Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Act
(HEERA) designated managerial position and comes under the
Management Personnel Plan (MPP) of the California State University.
Individuals appointed to management positions serve at the pleasure
of the President or designee. They are excluded from the collective
bargaining process, are not subject to probationary service, and do
not receive tenure or permanent status. This position is exempt
from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act
(FLSA).
Throughout employment in this position incumbent must maintain a
valid California Driver's License as well as continued completion
and compliance of the CSU Defensive Driver's Training course.
