Assisting the Branch Chief by sharing fully in all phases of daily management of the organization. Assists and provide management and supervision of project managers in the Branch and within the Army/Air Force Section. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities You will participates with the Branch Chief in planning and administering activities of the Branch which includes delegating full authority by the Branch Chief to supervise and manage a staff of program and project managers, and support team members. You will plans and coordinates work efforts, assigns and reviews work, resolves employee issues/complaints, selects new employees, sets performance standards, and evaluates performance of subordinate supervisors and non-supervisory staff. You will provide continuity of corporate leadership in assessing District mission and work requirements and in developing corporate plans, goals, and objectives. You will assists in the management and supervision of Army/Air Force Project Management Section. Travel Required 25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes directing and executing District's programs and project management goals; supervising and managing a staff of program and project managers, administrative and support team members; and experience providing project management oversight and direction to project managers in the development of study and Project Management Plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12.
