**$5,000 sign-on bonus **Relocation assistance available **Student Loan Forgiveness ProgramPhysician Assistant:POSITION SUMMARY:The Physician Assistant (PA) provides and coordinates direct patient care and may act as a first assistant to the supervising surgeon. The PA provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative healthcare service, as delegated by a physician. The PA will report to the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Clinic leadership for all employee/employer issues regarding departmental and organizational operations. The PA consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Medical Center and serves as a role model to other employees. EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:Minimum:Graduate of a PA educational program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission (ARC) on Education for Physician Assistants (or its predecessor agency) OR current certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)Desired:One-year clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an acute care facilityRecent experience in specialty areaBilingual in Spanish desirableLICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:Minimum:Current California Physician Assistant LicenseCertification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA), if not a graduate from an accredited ARC Physician Assistant educational programCurrent CPR recognitionAdvanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of hireDrug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of applicationMeets Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to bill MedicareCredentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff Office and Finance OfficeSKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:Must have the confidence and experience to work independently with diverse patient populations and experience in accessing specialty referrals and community resources. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis.
