Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an ICU nurse, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and caring for critically ill patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. Responsibilities Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs and lab results. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Provide direct patient care, including wound care, IV therapy, and life support management. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth. Participate in trauma response and emergency situations as needed. Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols within the ICU environment. Start date:? Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Experience in a teaching hospital environment is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
