Apply today and take your career anywhere in the U.S. Job Title: Oncology Data Specialist (Tumor Registrar) – Remote Job Type: Contract Position Urgency: Normal Duration: 13-week contract Schedule: Day shift | 8-hour shifts | Remote Positions Available: 1 Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) / Tumor Registrar to support cancer registry operations in a remote capacity. This role is responsible for accurate data abstraction, analysis, and management of oncology cases in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Key Responsibilities: Abstract, code, and maintain cancer registry data in accordance with state and national standards Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of oncology data submissions Utilize EMR systems to review medical records and extract required data elements Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all applicable regulations Collaborate with registry and clinical teams as needed to support reporting requirements Required Qualifications: Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification (required) Associate’s degree or equivalent (minimum 60 college-level credits) Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a Cancer Registry At least 2 years of experience using computer software programs, including Word, Excel, and internet-based applications Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Additional Requirements: Must be a W-2 employee of the staffing agency Active state license not required Bilingual skills not required Holiday coverage not required EMR System: EPIC Specialty: Nursing Sub-Specialty: Trauma Registrar Please note: Only candidates who meet all minimum qualifications and required certifications will be considered.
