Locum Tenens OB/GYN Opportunity (ASAP - Ongoing) We are seeking an experienced and board-certified OB/GYN physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Redding, CA. This position provides 24-hour call coverage for both obstetrics and gynecology without clinic or office responsibilities, offering flexibility for those seeking to balance work and life. Job Details: Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing End Date: Ongoing Shift Type: 24-hour call (OB & Gyn) Practice Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Location: Near Redding, CA Key Responsibilities: On-Call Coverage: Provide 24-hour call coverage for OB and Gyn services. Physicians are not required to remain in-house but must be within a 20-minute response time. Full-Scope OB/GYN Procedures: Handle all obstetric and gynecological cases, including deliveries (both vaginal and C-sections) and gynecological surgeries. Support Staff: Work with a dedicated medical assistant and a practice manager to ensure seamless patient care. Patient Volume: Expect to see 16-20 patients per day. This role does not require rounding or admissions. No NICU: The facility does not have a NICU, simplifying the scope of care during deliveries. Requirements: Board Certification: Must be Board Certified in OB/GYN. California State License: Active California medical license is required. Certifications: Candidates must hold current BLS, DEA, and NRP certifications. EMR System: Familiarity with Cerner is preferred but not required. Expedited Credentialing: Candidates must complete the Medical Staff Office (MSO) application within 3 days of confirmation, regardless of the start date. Additional Details: Full-Time Equivalency (FTE): 1.0 FTE, providing complete on-call coverage for the assigned shifts.
