Registered Nurse (RN) | Oncology Location: Redding, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,338 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/3/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification, COVID Vaccine Required Must-Have: - 2-3 years of experience in specialty - Team player - Travel experience Description: Traveler needs to be comfortable caring for oncology patients. No administration of chemotherapy required. Holiday requests will be considered, but not guaranteed. Unit consists of 17 beds. Staffing ratios are 1 nurse to 5 patients, which may adjust to 1 to 4 if one patient is receiving chemotherapy. Electronic medical record system used is Cerner. Charge nurse is a clinical supervisor who will not take patient assignments but will fill in as break relief. There is 1 nurse aide available for 8 hours during the day shift. Weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts scheduled over 4 weeks. Holidays will be worked into the permanent staff rotation. Scrub color is navy. Teleportable telemetry boxes are available as needed; monitor techs are present. Nurses must be able to read and interpret telemetry and will need to take a dysrhythmia exam. Mechanical ventilation support is not available. No hospitalist or intensivist is in-house. IV team is available 24/7. Pharmacy is also available 24/7. Shifts are 12 hours long, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Floating may occur to telemetry with a 1 to 4 ratio, and may also float between medical surgical floors. Floor-specific orientation includes 1 shift on the unit. Common diagnoses and types of patients include mostly oncology patients, with possible overflow from medical surgical cases.
