Job Description Job Description We are seeking an expert Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. This position is designed for a seasoned clinician with specific expertise in high-acuity cardiac cases and robotic-assisted surgery. You will play a critical role in maintaining the sterile field, managing advanced surgical technology, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes during complex cardiovascular procedures. Key Responsibilities Surgical Excellence: Provide expert nursing care within the CVOR, specializing in cardiovascular and thoracic procedures. Robotic Surgery: Utilize Da Vinci XI surgical systems to assist in minimally invasive robotic-assisted cases. Intraoperative Management: Coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to manage patient safety, instrumentation, and emergency protocols during cardiac surgery. Clinical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert for acute care surgical standards and cardiovascular best practices. Schedule & Shift Details Format: Five 8-hour day shifts per week (40 hours total). Standard Hours: Shifts vary between 06:30 15:00 and 10:45 19:00 . Days: Monday through Friday. On-Call Requirements Frequency: 23 days per week (determined by experience level and case volume). Weekends: Mandatory on-call rotation every other weekend , including call-back responsibilities. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 3 years of CVOR experience is required. Direct experience with the Da Vinci XI robotic platform is mandatory. Previous background in an acute care hospital environment. Licensure: Active and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license. Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) are required.
