related responsibilities in the School of Nursing and to assist
with the direction, coordination, and overall management of the
program. Qualifications: Minimum of Master’s degree from an
accredited college or university which includes course work in
nursing, education, or administration Current active California RN
license Current CPR certificate Minimum of at least one year
experience teaching courses related to registered nursing or
completion of a post-baccalaureate course which includes practice
in teaching registered nursing Minimum of one year’s continuous
full-time or its equivalent experience providing direct patient
care as a registered nurse in the designated nursing area within
the last five years Clinical Nursing experience preferred
Demonstrated effective classroom skills Program administration,
supervision or other administrative experience a plus Proficient in
Microsoft Office software applications (e.g. Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, etc.) Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrate good organizational and communication skills in the
performance of job duties. Supervises employees in accordance with
Simpson University policies and procedures (for supervisory
positions) Support the overflow needs of other departments within
the respective university area. Perform other duties in accordance
with this position as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor.
Essential Functions: Teach the equivalent of twenty-four credit
hours per year on a schedule to be determined by the Program
Director in consultation with the faculty Participate in program
and department committees as assigned Advise students as assigned
Demonstrate effective communication skills to constituent groups
Assist with the recruitment of adjunct faculty Participate in the
selection of required texts and reading materials, evaluate and
distribute syllabi Participate in New Student Orientations and
admissions activities Participate in organizing and conducting
departmental, adjunct faculty and/or site supervisor meetings
Assist in the development of curriculum and online courses Assist
with program and department review and evaluation activities Assist
the Program Director with the overall management of the program
Participate in strategic planning and budgetary activities of the

pulling to gather and stock supplies, operate equipment (computers,
various types of medical devices, hospital beds, etc.), and perform
required functions of patient care. Often must lift, carry or move
objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally must assist patient
position, transfer, or transport requiring lifting in excess of 40
pounds. Gross and fine motor abilities sufficient to perform
required functions of patient care; hand-wrist movement, hand-eye
coordination, and simple firm grasping required for fine
motor-skills and manipulation; fine and gross finger dexterity
