Eureka, CA Start Date: 03-09-2026 End Date: 06-08-2026 Contract
Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: 4x10 day schedule (days vary),
06:30 AM - 07:00 PM, Day shift; every-other-weekend coverage
required Hours per Week: 38 Candidate Pay Rate: $80 per hour About

Provide high-quality cath lab nursing care for coronary and
peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures Monitor and
manage patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, including sheath
removal and vascular closure care Administer and monitor procedural
sedation and emergency medications safely Interpret and manage
dysrhythmias and obtain 12-lead ECGs as needed Assist with and
scrub for implantable device procedures including pacemaker and
AICD insertion Operate and troubleshoot specialty equipment such as
IABP, Impella support, and ventilators when required Document care
accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with the
interdisciplinary team Support infection prevention, radiation
safety, and best practice protocols in the lab Qualifications
Active RN license (state licensure or pending state license
accepted) Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; cath lab
experience required BLS and ACLS required Comfortable with Epic
charting Experience with cardiac catheterization procedures
including PCI, diagnostic caths, and device implants preferred
Ability to cover every-other-weekend and respond to on-call
requirements Professional, team-oriented approach and ability to
work with interdisciplinary supports Knowledge & Skills
Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) and cardiac stent
placement Left and right heart catheterization and diagnostic
catheterizations Pacemaker and AICD insertion and lead management
IABP placement/removal, Impella familiarity, and other mechanical
circulatory support basics Transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE)
support and interpretation assistance Sheath removal, vascular
closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) and ACT monitoring Monitoring
procedural sedation, ventilator management, and end-tidal CO2
monitoring Blood product administration, IV therapy, and central
line/port support Radiation and laser safety, cardiac rhythm
interpretation, and cardioversion skills Benefits Helpful housing
