Job Description Primary Care Physician Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Greater Sacramento Area, CA (Multiple Locations Available) Compensation: $231,000 – $300,000 annually (based on experience) Full-Time | Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 4-Day (10-Hour) Schedule We are seeking an experienced Primary Care Physician to join a respected, mission-driven community health organization serving diverse and underserved populations throughout the Greater Sacramento region. This is an outpatient-only opportunity within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment focused on access, equity, and comprehensive care delivery. Experience Requirements Minimum 2 years of post-residency clinical experience required No new graduates Minimum 1–2 years of FQHC or community health outpatient experience required This role is best suited for physicians who are comfortable in high-access environments and committed to serving vulnerable communities. Position Overview The physician will provide comprehensive outpatient care across the lifespan while maintaining productivity expectations and quality standards consistent with a community health setting. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services Conduct history and physical exams and develop differential diagnoses Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic tests Prescribe medications and initiate appropriate therapies Coordinate referrals and specialty consultations Deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate patient education Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams Maintain productivity expectations (approximately 3 patients per hour) Complete timely charting and manage in-basket responsibilities Review and sign labs, consults, and imaging promptly Submit billing and coding documentation accurately and on time Participate in continuing education and maintain licensure Clinical & Technical Expectations Proficiency with EPIC EMR preferred Comfort managing approximately 3 patients per hour Strong charting efficiency and in-basket management skills Ability to meet productivity while maintaining quality On-Call On-call participation is required Frequency varies depending on provider type and clinic location Qualifications MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Active, unrestricted California medical license FQHC or community health experience strongly preferred Bilingual in English and Russian, Farsi, Pashto/Pushto, or Spanish strongly preferred Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $230,000 – $300,000 based on experience Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (multiple PPO options) 403(b) retirement plan with up to 4% employer match (immediate vesting) Up to 4 weeks PTO in first year (based on hours worked) 7 paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday Employer-paid life insurance and Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending Accounts (Health & Dependent Care) Malpractice and tail coverage provided Annual CME reimbursement plus up to 1 week of paid CME time Tuition reimbursement Why This Opportunity Stands Out Mission-driven community impact Multiple clinic locations for flexibility Strong retirement match with immediate vesting Structured schedule options (5x8 or 4x10) Comprehensive support systems This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced physician who is passionate about community health and confident managing a structured outpatient environment with defined productivity expectations.
