Job Description TheraEX Staffing Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Orthopedic Surgery for a locum tenens job in Eureka, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery - Discipline: Nurse Practitioner - Start Date: 06/17/2026 - Duration: 26 weeks - Shift: 9 hours - Employment Type: Locum Tenens Title: Orthopedic Surgery NP/PA (Locum Tenens) Start Date: June 18, 2026 Duration: Ongoing Job Overview We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to provide full-time orthopedic APP coverage in both clinic and OR settings. This role includes scheduled clinical hours and call responsibilities. Schedule - Mon–Thu: Clinic (8am–5pm) OR (7:30am start; may extend to 3–5pm) - Friday: Clinic/OR/Admin (7:30am–5pm) - Call: 5–7 days/month 24hr weekend call when scheduled - Night Call: 5pm–8am Responsibilities - Assist in orthopedic surgeries (trauma-focused preferred) - Provide outpatient and inpatient care - Manage pre/post-operative patients - Participate in call rotation Requirements - Active California NP or PA license - Active CA DEA - BLS certification (required) - Minimum 2 years recent orthopedic clinical experience - Comfortable in OR clinic settings - Case logs required (for surgical experience) Credentialing - Estimated timeframe: ~90 days - Privileges required prior to start Practice Details - Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient - Patients per shift: 20–22 - EMR: Epic About TheraEX Staffing Services TheraEx Staffing Services is a leading name in healthcare staffing solutions.
