Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in California . This position offers the chance to provide care in an outpatient setting, working with both pediatric and adult patients. The assignment is set to begin in January 2025 , and we are looking for a long-term candidate to fill the vacancy for an extended period. Key Details: Specialty : Internal Medicine (Family Medicine) Location : Near Redway, CA (specific location details will be provided upon application) Start Date : January 13, 2025 Duration : Ongoing (with no specific end date) Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Patients per Shift : Approximately 18 per day Practice Setting : Outpatient only (no inpatient duties required) EMR System : Epic Licensing : Must be licensed to practice in California Board Certification : Required (must be board-certified in Internal Medicine) Call Requirements : No call required Job Requirements: Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Active California medical license BLS certification required Previous experience in a similar outpatient setting preferred No inpatient care required No hospital or surgery center privileges needed Must be able to see both adult and pediatric patients Candidate Profile: Ability to work independently in a busy outpatient setting Comfortable managing a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult patients Must be able to work with EMR systems (Epic experience preferred) Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner Locum Tenens candidates with 3+ years of experience will be prioritized, but we will consider all qualified applicants, including those who are board-eligible if less than 5 years since residency Credentialing & Requirements: Credentialing typically takes 30-90 days, so early application is encouraged Required immunizations and health checks include flu vaccination, TB status, MMR titer, Hepatitis B titer, Varicella titer, and Tdap vaccination (within the last 10 years) Active DEA registration is required before starting the assignment Chart closure within 72 hours is mandatory Travel and Housing: Housing assistance available for locum providers Nearest airport Why This Opportunity: Flexible locum tenens assignment in beautiful California Great work-life balance with no call or weekend shifts required Opportunity to work with a dedicated team in an established outpatient practice If you are a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician looking for a rewarding locum tenens opportunity, apply today!
