Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiovascular

Summary: Join a leading healthcare facility in Redding, CA, a Level II Trauma Center that performs around 10-11 heart surgeries monthly. We are seeking Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioners with substantial experience in endovascular vein harvesting (EVH) to provide high-quality care in a dynamic surgical environment. Candidates must have recent cardiovascular surgery experience and be well-versed in assisting in a range of thoracic cases, alongside our skilled surgical team.

• Assist in cardiovascular surgeries and other thoracic procedures.
• Perform endovascular vein harvesting (EVH) with expertise.
• Conduct daily rounds and write post-operative notes, often shared with surgeons.
• Manage patient follow-ups in clinic settings on designated days.
• Participate in night call duties as scheduled.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.

• Board Certification in Nurse Practitioner specialty.
• Active and unrestricted state nurse practitioner license.
• Experience with cardiovascular surgery and EVH procedures is mandatory.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications.
• Demonstrated clean malpractice history.
• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of the presentation.
