All shifts 7 AM - 5 PM onsite, then night call 5 PM - 7 AM
10-hour onsite shifts
Includes weekend and holiday coverage
Callback hours average 1-2 hours
No ICU, Cath Lab, or ED call
Requirements
NCCPA
Active CA Medical license
ACLS
BLS
DEA
Malpractice clean history
Required Procedures / Skills
Recent and substantial cardiovascular surgical assist
experience
Endovascular vein harvesting (EVH) experience
Assignment Details
Level II Trauma Center
Approximately 10-11 heart surgeries per month plus additional
thoracic cases
Morning rounds and post-op note documentation required
Shared responsibilities with surgeons
Clinic responsibilities Tuesday and Thursday afternoons with up to
6 patients (often after a morning surgery)
Additional follow-up visits as needed
Less than 10 patients typically in-house
EVH equipment: Maquet Hemopro 2
Credentialing timeframe: 30-60 days
EMR: Cerner Care B with SurgiNet
