Position PurposeServes as first point of contact for Human Resources, assisting the general public and Feather Falls Casino employees, as needed; provides administrative assistance to all members of the Human Resources staff.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Answers incoming calls to Human Resources; records messages and/or transfers calls to appropriate individual/department, as necessary. Processes employment applications; answers questions concerning available positions; performs initial applicant briefing/interview. Files/records employee information in personnel records, such as personal data, wage changes, performance evaluations, progressive disciplines, etc. Files/records employee Late/Absence forms, and maintains attendance for all casino departments. Monitors occurrences and reports to appropriate manager. Inputs employee data into the HR database on a daily basis. Sends employee birthday cards monthly. Keeps personal information such as addresses, phone numbers, etc. updated in the system. Keeps ID badge logs for changes to lost or inoperable ID cards and issues new cards. Assists the director of human resources in planning and coordinating employee recognition programs, quarterly family reunions, employee appreciation events, years of service recognition, wellness programs, etc. Maintains I-9 binders. Prepares new hire personnel files on a weekly basis. Assembles orientation materials including Favorite Things bags. Conducts new employee orientation each week on Wednesday. Keeps a log and appropriate forms for employees who are authorized to drive company vehicles. Maintains personnel forms- updating and reordering as necessary. Conducts weekly distribution of employee payroll checks. Uses the computer daily to input and retrieve personnel information, prepare memos, update policies, etc. Sorts and distributes incoming mail. Orders and maintains supply of office materials (paper, file folders, etc.) Maintains confidentiality of all personnel actions/records, as appropriate. Coordinates Covid 19 Bluestone Safe program Performs other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required; advanced degree desiredMinimum of two years previous human resources preferred, education may be substitutedMust be proficient in the Microsoft Office environment, specifically MS Word and ExcelMaintains a professional image at all times; interaction with the general public and employees is always conducted in a polite, courteous manner.Ability to multi-task is critical; must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.Adheres to all Casino and Department policies and procedures.Communicates regularly with all members of the HR staff.Language SkillsAbility to accurately read, analyze, and interpret Casino policies and procedures; ability to write reports, policies, and procedures utilizing correct grammar and spelling; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, customers, and the general public. Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsClass A Gaming License (As provided for a nominal fee with a clean background check)Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
