exceptional Head of Service - Social Inclusion to lead our growing
and innovative services supporting children, young people, adults,
and families facing multiple and complex challenges. You will play
a key role in shaping and driving the strategic direction of our
TESS (Targeted Education Support Services) team, managing diverse
programmes across criminal justice, education, health, and
community support.You will:
- Provide leadership and line management across multidisciplinary
teams
- Develop and deliver high-quality, person-centred services
- Foster partnerships with local authorities, commissioners,
police, and health services
- Lead on service development, tendering, and income
generation
- Ensure effective quality assurance, safeguarding, and
performance reportingWhat We're Looking ForYou are a highly
motivated and experienced manager with a strong background in
social inclusion, youth/community services, or criminal justice.
You'll be strategic yet hands-on, with a track record in:
- Leading services for vulnerable children and adults
- Budget and performance management
- Service innovation and income generation
- Partnership development and cross-sector collaboration
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field
(e.g., Youth & Community, Criminal Justice, Education, Health,
Business Development)
- Experience of supervising and appraising staff
- Knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation
- Flexibility to travel and work evenings/weekends as
required
- Experience in criminal justice environments
- Knowledge of commissioning and tendering processes
- Understanding of PACE Code C and the needs of custody
