For more information about our Company, visit jmsmucker.com.POSITION TITLEMaintenance Storeroom BuyerHOURS0700-1530, M-F, Occasional Overtime and WeekendsLOCATIONChico, CAREPORTS TOPlant Technical LeaderKEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for all purchasing activities within the Maintenance/Engineering departments including price negotiations, complying with MRO purchasing contracts, and all necessary reporting to maintain a zero variance in the store room within a set budgetEnsure inventory levels, adjusting minimum/maximum reorder levels, and the ordering, organization, and control of all material stocked in the storeroomAssist in solving complex projects by identify, proposing/recommending and purchasingneeded parts and materials for production equipment utilizing manuals, blueprints, etc.Plan and organize special materials and mechanical or electrical components needed forweekends, shutdowns and special projectsPlan and coordinate the purchasing and receiving of materialsOwnership of managing excess stored equipment inventoryAct as a liaison between plant and vendor /suppliers maintaining spare parts, receiving,retrieving, issuing, delivery and cycle counting all storeroom inventoryEnsure management of storeroom inventory at specified levels and physically locating and storing maintenance parts; procure, receiving, store and issue parts, general supplies and repair components; receive returned parts back into inventory to maintain inventory accuracy and ship out repairable parts to vendors and trackResponsible for ensuring cycle counts are completed and accurateEnsuring shelves with incoming parts are restockedSpot check critical spares for inventory accuracyConduct annual obsolescence reviews to identify parts that need to be removed from the systemEnsure vending machine stocking levels are maintained and issues with vendor resolvedNotify plant personnel of incoming orders; verify vendor acknowledgement, delivery, and maintain necessary system records on all purchase ordersEnsure Compliance with all Food Safety, Quality and regulatory requirements as it relates to parts and materials used for production equipmentSupport safety programs, policies and procedures SELECTION CRITERIAEducation:Minimum High School Diploma or EquivalencyOther:Demonstrate ability to work effectively across organization boundaries and with diverse teams in accordance with our Basic Beliefs and Our Commitment to Each OtherExperience: At least 3 years of experience in inventory management and/or manufacturing industry is desiredStrong organization skills, with a demonstrated ability to be decisive, proactive and strategic in decision making Ability to work independently or in a group with minimal supervision and the ability to teach,lead and motivate othersDemonstrates the ability to manage multiple priorities against a given set of criteria and effectively manages the work to completionProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Microsoft OutlookAbility to provide prioritization, leadership, initiative and planning in area in order to improve resultsAbility to work well with others including external resourcesBasic knowledge of flow of product in the plantStrong written and oral communication skillsKnowledge of Oracle INV, Ariba, and daily/monthly reconciliation is desiredStrong knowledge of lean manufacturing principlesIND123
