needs Location: Remote, with option to transition to in-person
based on program needs Hourly Rate: $29.00 to $35.00 per hour
Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and
skilled Associate Therapist to join our team, focusing on providing
therapeutic and clinical services to all individuals, couples, and
families, including individuals with intellectual disabilities
(ID), developmental disabilities (DD), and neurodivergent (ND)
individuals (autism, ADHD, etc.). The ideal candidate will provide
person-centered, trauma-informed therapy, social skills training,
and positive behavior supports in individual or group settings.
This position will provide services under the supervision of a
licensed clinician. This position supports assessment, treatment
planning, service delivery, and documentation in accordance with
program requirements, professional standards, and applicable state
and federal regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other
duties may be assigned. Provide individual and group therapy
services consistent with established treatment plans and
supervision requirements. Conduct client intakes, assessments, and
psychosocial history gathering. Assist in the development,
implementation, and ongoing review of client treatment plans.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation
in compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards.
Participate in required clinical supervision and integrate
supervisory feedback into clinical practice. Support clients
through crisis intervention, safety planning, and referrals to
appropriate internal and external resources. Collaborate with
interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and support
client goals. Ensure compliance with ethical standards,
professional guidelines, licensing pathway requirements, and
program policies. Attend required meetings, trainings, and
continuing education activities. Communicate effectively with
clients, families, staff, and external providers, as appropriate.
Complete required reports, service logs, and administrative
documentation accurately and on time. Perform other duties as
assigned by the Clinical Supervisor or Program Director.
Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have
supervisory responsibilities. Benefits Paid vacation, sick leave,
and holidays in accordance with personnel policies. Health
insurance is provided to regular employees scheduled to work at
least 30 hours per week within 90 days of employment. Minimum
Requirements Active and current registration with the California
Board of Behavioral Sciences as an AMFT, ASW, APCC Master’s degree
in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field Ability
to successfully pass a background check Ability to pass a physical
examination, TB test Reliable transportation Ideal candidates will
have prior experience working with neurodivergent clients, clients
who have intellectual or developmental disabilities, and their
families and staff. They will also have experience working with
evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, psychodynamic
interventions, skill-building, and trauma-informed care. Physical
Demands The physical demands described here are representative of
those required to perform the essential functions of this position.
The employee regularly sits for extended periods, uses hands and
fingers for keyboarding and handling materials, and communicates
verbally with clients and staff. Occasional standing, walking, and
